A Pilot, A Marine, A Solider, A Woman, WARRIOR
Olivia Chavez-Carroll served 22 years in the U.S. Marine Corps and Army. As an accomplished “First”, Olivia Chavez-Carroll become a pilot, deployed and fought well with her comrades.
She has excelled beyond her dreams as she transitions each day overcoming TBI. Olivia shares her military and female minority firsts such as piloting a US Army Chinook, and Apache helicopter during deployments to Afghanistan and serving in two branches of the military as a Commissioned Officer during a series of war times that exposed her to danger and blasts we cannot imagine. Her courageous path to recovery was extensive and she has beat the odds with endurance to be commended. Olivia grows and shares her story to encourage both military comrades and civilians that have suffered like traumas from MST to domestic violence, and PTSD which has blossomed her career and fueled her passion. She currently serves as a self-employed Federal Contractor, Co-Author, Co-Host, and Chair of the CA Department of Veteran Affairs, Calvet Women’s Leadership Council. Olivia is well traveled and is most fulfilled while she gives back. Olivia founded, The Veterans Awareness Project https://VeteranAwarenessProject.com with a charitable mission that is concentrated on helping military comrades become the best HUMANS they can be during and after service. Olivia celebrates her life as a wife to a fellow Army Soldier, Jacob Carroll and mother to their beautiful blended family. Seeking mental health and wellness is key while collaborating on important international projects, namely, Suicide Prevention and Awareness, The Atomic Veterans Awareness Project and authoring her new chapter in the book, Behind the Rank Vol. 4 by Lila Holley. She is truly Once and Always a Marine, a Soldier For Life, and a WOMAN Warrior!
