Wendy Sickora, USMC MSgt (Ret) served 21 years and accomplished multiple professional and personal goals as a pioneer in leadership and rank from 1985-2005. Wendy’s service includes deployment, several occupational specialties, and higher education success. As a single parent, Wendy shares her plight, performance, and gifts of continued service within the realm of her fellow veterans, and active duty students.

Giving back is rewarding from Community Outreach to helping military families enroll and complete their degrees. Wendy has utilized her earned benefits and understands both sides of the coin. As a former military NCO, Staff NCO, and student raising a family, Wendy fulfilled military orders to deploy and serve in Japan. Wendy did transform, adapt, & overcome by traits each military member gains from serving. Wendy is the Past President of the CA Advisory Council on Military Education and shares her voice on behalf of US Troops. Wendy cares and tells her story from her Camies 2 Civies.
Wendy Sickora served in the Marine Corps for 21 years in the following occupations: Aircraft Maintenance, Engine Testing, Career Planning, Administration, Recruiting, and Coordinating the Toys for Tots Program at her Reserve Unit.
Wendy currently serves as the Legislative Co-Chair for the Council of College and Military Educators (CCME).
She has been in higher education for 11 years and has been involved in military & community college outreach. She received her Associate of Arts Degree in Selective Studies from Miramar Community College in San Diego, her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Organizational Management from Ashford University. She is currently attending Brandman University in the Master of Arts in Organizational Leadership program, scheduled to graduate December 2020.
Wendy loves to spend quality time with her daughter Jasmine and her son Jeffrey.
She has lived all over the world and remembers one special travel experience to Egypt where she toured the breathtaking route adjacent to the sacred Pyramids atop a camel. Wendy is delighted to help others and looks forward to her retirement in Wisconsin.
