Life Safety and Fire Protection: A Chief’s Concern
Meet Christopher Reichel, Deputy Fire Chief (Retired), Meadeville, Pennsylvania, Fire Station 27, who has dedicated 23 valiant years asa results driven innovator to help his clients succeed in business. Chris demonstrates a high-level of excellence in his work and his business professional relationships are important to him, especially those with his fellow firefighters. Emergency response, disaster readiness, and survival skills come second nature to Chris and as a retiree, and he understands the need to discuss difficult, relevant, and cutting-edge topics including new strategies that promote safety and preparedness before, during, and when disaster strikes.



Reaction, response, and recovery are verbs that describe Chris’ second nature behaviors and he will remember highlights from scenarios including the astounding occurrences of 9/11/2001 and the many emergencies he has responded to over the years as a leading Chief. Chris is proud of how the members of his station crew worked well together to ensure the best efforts, plans, and outcomes were reached even when losses may have occurred.


Chris understands that mental health care matters as a key conversation in his realm and also takes pride in promoting wellness, and giving back in his community. Chris is dedicated to mentoring youth that want to pursue careers in the Fire Department through the Explorer program.
Chris is committed to loving his wife, Maranda, and his intelligent children, and family pets. He is grateful to his family for their sacrifice while he served long hours. After successfully retiring once, Chris spends quality time consulting and enriching his home, followed by traveling to build resilience and to relax in the elements. He has an affinity for grant writing to help charitable agencies thrive through winning awards to accomplish their missions and has big plans for change in the future.
Let’s thank our Firefighters today and learn from the living legacy that Chris Reichel is building for the benefit of all fire teams past, present, and future, police and our beloved Armed Forces.
