US ARMY VETERANS & SAINTS in THE ARMY of THE LORD
Meet Mr. and Mrs. Anthony Parnell Jones, valiant United States Army Veterans. With 44 years of combined US Army service including several deployments, Anthony and Chondra Collette share unwavering faith, principles of excellence, and family values that have strengthened their 21 year marriage.
Higher education, travel, culture, and service from their Camies 2 Civies have enriched the lives of Mr. and Mrs. Jones over the years. Meeting and becoming a marital union during Active Duty Army service requires a level of grand ethics, morals, and Army support that fortified their call to duty both abroad and stateside. From Southwest and Southeast Asia to Hawaii and several United States Forts as installation homes, the Jones family blended in harmony. Their testimony, life lessons, and journey is a perfect demonstration of Holiday time resilience, remembrance, perseverance, and joy.
In the Army, achieving life balance and being a “Soldier for Life” is a Soldier’s Promise as well as the United States promise “In God We Trust”. Through many Eras of War from the early 1980’s to present, the Jones’ are still in service after receiving their Honorable Discharges from the Army. They are former Department of the Army civilian employees and now serve in University Education and at the Social Security Administration stressing great pathways to continued education and a healthy retirement.
With four children of their own that are prospering adults with families of their own, Anthony and Chondra Collette spend wonderful time spoiling their grand children, enjoying all genres of music, watching thrillers and action films, and traveling “without orders”.
Let’s honor the Jones Family for their decades of military and civilian service, for their example of how to live a quality life, and for exercising their teaching gifts at their beloved Bridge Church in Garner, North Carolina. The Jones’ understand their call to greater service through the King James Bible Verse: “Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men.”
– Matthew 4:19 and the quote by Lao Tzu:
Give a man a fish he’ll eat for a day; show a man how to fish he’ll eat for a lifetime; introduce a man to the Creator of fish he’ll eat for an eternity.
Happy Holidays from the Jones Family!
